A new home ground for Tilford 3rd XI at Thursley and Midhurst II elected to make first use of the green wicket and it looked like a good decision at 50 without loss in the 16th over as Hamilton-Fox and Gough punished anything too full or too short. However the introduction of Ian "Fozzie Bear" Fosten, as first change, changed things dramatically as he bowled an impeccable spell taking 6 for 10 in his 9 overs. Remarkably, Henderson at the other end was even more miserly going for only 9 in his 9 overs and Midhurst collapsed to 67 for 9 before the last pair of Bilsland and Kearney took the total to 97 from the allotted 40 overs.
The Midhurst openers bowled accurately picking up Adams cheaply but a solid 50 partnership between Knight and Dickson broke the back of the chase and Tilford galloped home for the loss of 4 wickets in the 20th over.
