Senior Section

Tilford was elected to the Surrey I’Anson League in 1904 and has played continuously ever since in what is believed to be the oldest village league.

The Club runs three Saturday X1’s, with the 1st XI in division 1, the 2nd XI in division 2 and the 3rd XI in division 6 in what is a thriving league. Fixtures start at 1:00 and are a hybrid of limited-overs & traditional matches.

The limited overs format is a straight 45 overs per side match with the team with the highest score winning and bonus points available.

The traditional format consists of a 90 over match, with the side batting first able to bat for a maximum of 48 overs. This ensures the possibility of all five results …. win, loss, winning draw, losing draw, and the very occasional tie!

The 1st and 2nd XI play on Tilford Green and the 3rd XI play at nearby Thursley.

- 2nd XI Division Three Champions 2017
- 3rd XI Division Seven Champions 2018

The Club also runs a very popular Sunday side, playing all its fixtures at Home and enjoying the competition of such famous touring sides as Woodpeckers, Refreshers, The Authors, The Cricket Society and Jack Frost to name a few.

Tilford is always looking for new players of any gender, age or ability; our thriving Junior Section has boys and girls from the age of 5 upwards and our league and friendly fixtures often feature players in their 70s.
