Ladies, League Winners

The Tilford Ladies WIN the Tier 2 Smash It West League in their first season.

What a first season it’s been for the Tilford ladies! From that very first coaching session back in March; the room was bubbling with energy, laughter, and above all sporting talent — we knew straight away we were onto something special.

But to go on and win the league… that’s more than we dared to hope!

Sending huge congratulations to every member of the squad — from those who trained with us when they could, to those who took to the field on match days. Every one of you has played a part in a fantastic season and this brilliant achievement. It’s been a joy and a huge source of pride to share the field, the laughs and those many net sessions with such a fantastic group of friends and teammates.

A heartfelt thank you goes to our wonderful coach and chief cheerleader, Mark “Buss” Bussell, whose presence at every match, encouragement, and expert guidance have been central to our progress and love of the game.

A huge thank you also to those at Tilford CC who have coached and supported us throughout the season and also our lovely sponsors for having the faith in us early on.

And to our families — our husbands and kids — the countless hours you’ve spent supporting us in the nets as we fine-tuned our bowling and batting obsessions! From volunteering for weekly scoring and umpiring duties, to cheering us on with boundless enthusiasm from the sidelines, you’ve been with us all the way.

A true team effort.

Now this is just the beginning for women’s cricket at Tilford… if you or your daughters feel inspired to pick up the bat and ball, we’d love to welcome you to training in 2026.

Come and join us.
